A surprising smoothness and an aromatic freshness that awakens the senses-this is how this top-fermented amber ale greets you. On the first sip, the rye works its magic, intensifying the malt and grain flavors, giving body and roundness to the beer, without covering the fruity and citrus notes of the American hops. But it’s in the finish that this Rye IPA reveals its true character: a moderate, well-balanced bitterness that slowly unwinds, leaving a lingering, inviting trail. Each sip will leave you wanting another, exploring its complexity without ever losing the balance between creaminess and freshness. Perfect with grilled meats, spicy dishes or strong-flavored cheeses, Random #6 is the ideal pairing for those looking for a beer capable of surprising and tantalizing the palate, with just the right amount of character and originality. One sip and you’ll be won over by its charm, an experience that will make you want to have it in your glass all the time.Alc. 5.5% Vol. | 33cl

‘- Type: DOCG. Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese. Training system: Guyot. Planting density: 4,500 vines/ha. Production technique: The grapes, harvested in late September – early October, undergo soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 25-28°C, and extraction of the noble compounds from the skins with the aid of periodic pumping over and delestage. Maceration on the skins lasts 30 days. The wine is aged for 40 months in new 20-hl barrels. Before being released for sale, the wine is refined for 18 months in the bottle. Soil characteristics : The soils from which Brunello di Montalcino Riserva originates consist of clayey-loam matrices with a rich skeleton, a characteristic that manages to ensure moderate water stress in the final stages of ripening. Altitude and slope: The vineyards are located at 150 m. above sea level with slopes varying between 5% and 10% and a southwest exposure. Food pairings: The elegance and impressive structure of the wine allow for pairing with various types of meat—not just game—prepared through long cooking, enriched with herbs, ingredients, and rich sauces or gravies. This complexity in the dishes serves to balance the flavorful and aromatic complexity of the Brunello Riserva, thus supporting its impressive structure. Ageing potential: Thanks to the complete phenolic ripening of the skins, the wine enhances the fullness and softness of the tannins from the moment of its release until several years of bottle aging, as well as its aromatic profile. A bright and energetic wine that veers toward a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it is characterized by good intensity and complexity, in which fruity notes of cherry, blackberry, and raspberry prevail, accompanied by floral aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity with good acidity, tannins present but balanced and well-concentrated. The finish is pleasantly long. Our Rosso di Montalcino is appreciated for its fragrance and freshness, thanks to its primary (fruity) aromas and secondary (fermentation) aromas.

Il Poggione’s Rosso di Montalcino is a younger, more approachable version of Brunello, yet already boasting excellent structure and a bold personality. Rosso di Montalcino is a key wine for this estate, embodying the essence of traditionalism and appreciation of the terroir. It’s the wine of the farmers of old. Produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes from the estate’s youngest vineyards, Rosso di Montalcino ages for 12 months in large barrels and barriques, followed by a period of bottle aging. Aging in wood, though not mandatory under the Rosso di Montalcino regulations, gives this wine a complex aroma and structure that make it a great “young Brunello,” while also smoothing out the typical tannicity of young Sangiovese. The name is the classic, universally recognized “Rosso di Montalcino.” The grape used is 100% pure Sangiovese. The vineyards used for its production are grown within the company’s grounds and lie at altitudes between 150 and 450 meters above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand. Vinification lasts 15 days and involves the use of the “submerged cap” method in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature of 25/28°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks. Aged for 12 months in large 30 and 50 hl French oak barrels and 350-liter barriques, followed by a period of bottle aging.
Organoleptic Data Rosso di Montalcino DOC
The color that emerges from the organoleptic examination is an intense and deep ruby red with light and very subtle reflections. The aroma is broad, ethereal, and features notes of red berries. The flavor is well-structured, soft, and persistent with tannins that are not overly aggressive, velvety on the palate.
Recommended pairings for tasting this Il Poggione wine

The grapes are harvested by hand; fermentation and maceration in steel tanks take place at a controlled temperature (24°-26°C) with daily pumping over (to oxygenate the must and increase the exchange surface between the liquid and the pomace). After racking, the wine is transferred to another steel vat for a brief period of aging.
LA PODERINA MONTALCINO RED WINE: THE TASTING
La Poderina’s Rosso di Montalcino is a brilliant ruby red.
