Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red with garnet highlights and concentrated, enveloping, ethereal aromas with notes of black cherry, berries, and vanilla. The flavor is bold, quite tannic when young, soft and persistent, and beautifully balanced. Pairings: A wine best served throughout a meal, this wine should be served around 18°C (64°F). It pairs best with roasted white and red meats, poultry, game, and mature cheeses. Tenute del Cerro’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a great red wine for long aging, a true expression of Montalcino tradition. Fermentation takes place in large steel tanks, with particularly prolonged contact between the skins and the must. Subsequent maturation takes place both in barriques and large Slavonian oak barrels. The result is a wine of great substance and elegance, not to be missed.
